Donte Paige-Moss takes a helmet-on-face hit, lives to tell about it

In the age of over-the-top responses to the frightening effects of concussions and other head injuries, there's a minor movement in football to ditch the facemask, or even the entire helmet, on the grounds that they pose more danger as a weapon than they provide as safety devices. After tonight's Music City Bowl, we can probably count North Carolina defensive end Donte Paige-Moss in the firmly pro-helmet camp:

He's okay, folks: Despite staggering off the field with a bloody face, Paige-Moss returned to the game in short order. Whether he'll be able to lift his head off the pillow in the morning is another story, but at least he finished.
