Not that all of them aren't. The 11-time Pro Bowl quarterback, not coincidentally has led the Indianapolis Colts to 11 playoff appearances, and because Manning considers winning even one game very difficult, no postseason appearance is without import.
But on Sunday, some time during a frenzied half-hour when the Jacksonville Jaguars lost and the Colts somehow beat the Tennessee Titans, 23-20, at Lucas Oil Stadium, the Colts added a slew of accomplishments to this era's already bursting resume:
o. A seventh AFC South title in eight seasons.
o. A ninth consecutive season with 10 or more victories.
o. A ninth consecutive playoff appearance.
The third mark ties an NFL record set by Dallas from 1975-1983, and while it was officially secured when the Jaguars lost their third consecutive game minutes earlier, the celebration following Adam Vinatieri's 43-yard field goal as time expired had a decidedly playoff-clinching feel.
One reason was many around the Colts -- coach Jim Caldwell included -- didn't know the outcome of the Jacksonville game, and believed the dramatic finish put the Colts in the postseason.
