Nine months of anticipation and three months of plot twists come together in a single, 10-hour marathon that will determine six conference championships, four BCS bowl games, the specific disbursement of millions of dollars and the course of the final chapter of the 2010 season. Is it the season of unstoppable offenses at Auburn and Oregon, on an inevitable collision course for the mythical championship? Or the season of mass chaos, in which none of the teams that began the season in the top five in August finished there in December? In which upstart TCU snuck into the title game courtesy of a stunning, 11th-hour upset in Atlanta or Corvallis? Will the ACC champion go to the Orange Bowl with a loss to James Madison? Or will Florida State reclaim its birthright as ACC overlord? Will unheralded, unranked UConn punch its ticket to a big-money game? Can repeated showings of Bo Pelini's rage face break the Godzilla replay board in Cowboys Stadium?
Enjoy the ending, and watch out for the twist.
