Chris Pronger is set to undergo surgery on his right foot that was injured Wednesday night against Montreal. A post-op exam on Friday will determine how much time he'll miss from the broken bone. TSN's Darren Dreger pegs it at 4-6 weeks. [Philly.com]

• Bad news: The minor hockey coach from the Ontario Minor Hockey Association that pulled his team off the ice after a racial slur was directed at one of his players was suspended until April 10th. The player who hurled the insult was suspended three games. Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Dan Ellis backtracks on his remarks about Linus Omark's shootout goal last week: "I think a lot was made of the Omark thing. Bottom line, the kid scored. If he does something like that, that gets the fans off their feet in like it did in Edmonton, so be it. I think it was a little bit touchy for our team because it was the kid's first game and we thought it was a bit gutsy.
